Dhaka Dynamites Secure Australian Alex Ross for BPL 2024 Squad

Australia's Alex Ross is all set to join the Dhaka cricket team, adding a dash of international flair to the squad. Dhaka has also secured the talents of local emerging fast bowler Enamul Haque. Ross, a globetrotting cricketer, has showcased his skills in various franchise leagues worldwide, most recently representing Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League (BBL).

Making history, Durdanto Dhaka marked their first-ever match in the BPL with a triumphant win over the reigning champions, Comilla Victorians. Riding on the wave of this auspicious beginning, Dhaka has enthusiastically welcomed two new additions to their lineup.

Alex Ross, the 31-year-old Aussie cricketer, brings a wealth of experience from playing with teams like Brisbane Heat, Jamaica Tallawahs, and Dumbulla Aura. This time, he's donning the Durdanto Dhaka colors for the BPL. According to a press release from Dhaka, Ross is expected to touch down in Bangladesh at 12:40 today (January 20).

On the local front, the team has enlisted the services of the 23-year-old pace sensation, Enamul Haque, a familiar face in domestic cricket. Haque recently showcased his skills with Dhaka Division and Central Zone in the domestic arena.

Dhaka's journey in the 10th season of the BPL got off to a flying start with a convincing 5-wicket victory over Comilla. Currently occupying the second spot on the points table with 2 points, Dhaka is geared up for their next challenge against Chattogram Challengers on January 22.
